Service Agreement
BY BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT, YOU AGREE TO THE BELOW SERVICE AGREEMENT IN IT'S ENTIRETY. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES AT ANY TIME. PLEASE REACH OUT TO US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE SERVICE AGREEMENT OR GROOMING PROCEDURES.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO PAMPERING YOUR PET!
Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information:
Owners verify their pet is current on Rabies, Distemper and Parvo-Virus vaccinations. Proof of Vaccinations shall be provided to Dogs in the Driveway upon request.
Aggressive or Dangerous Pets:
Owners MUST inform Dogs in the Driveway if their pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. We reserve the right to refuse/stop services at any time. Aggressive or special needs dogs require extra time and care, and may incur an additional service fee.
Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets:
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or a pet with health problems.
These procedures can expose hidden medical problems during or after the groom.
Senior pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury and will be
groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in the style that will not add to their stress.
This agreement will give us permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment
for your pet should it be deemed necessary. We will do our best to contact you
first, then take your pet to your authorized Veterinarian or to the nearest available
Veterinarian. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by
the pet’s owner. Aggressive or special needs dogs require extra time and care, and may incur an additional service fee.
Ticks:
If ticks are encountered in the groom they will be removed and you will be notified. There is no charge for this service
Matt Removal:
Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pet’s coat will only grow tighter and can strangle the pet’s skin, or eventually tear it open. We do not wish to cause serious or undue stress to your pet, and will not continually de-mat your pet for you. Mats can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. Torn skin from mats can also harbor maggots. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow.
Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should either have sunscreen applied
daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the
skin. In some cases, pets can also exhibit brief behavioral changes. There is an
extra charge for dematting.
Accidents:
There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp. Even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible injuries could occur, including cuts, nicks and scratches. We are not veterinarians, always consult your vet if you have any questions or concerns about your dogs health and wellbeing.
Hold Harmless Agreement:
You agree to hold Dogs in the Driveway, it’s owners, operators, employees, officers and directors harmless from any damage, loss or claim arising from any condition of the listed pet, either known or unknown.
Cancellations:
Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged a $60.00 cancellation fee. It is difficult to fill last minute cancellations which results in a complete loss of income to the groomer.
No-Shows:
It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. We will charge a $60.00 cancellation fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show."
Inclement Weather:
If there is snow on the ground, a clear path must be provided for the van to access your home and allow the groomer to get to your front door. If a clear path is not provided, your appointment may be canceled and a $60.00 fee charged. If it becomes necessary for us to reschedule your appointment due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to contact you right away and find a new time that is convenient for you.
Arrival Time:
Please give the groomer a grace period of 30 minutes before and
after your scheduled appointment. We are working with live animals and
sometimes they take longer or shorter than expected. If you absolutely are not
flexible in your appointment time please let us know when booking your
appointment.
Difficult Pet:
In the rare circumstance where a pet absolutely refuses to be
groomed there will be a $50 trip fee.
Pet Photos: We may take photos of your pet for use in social media or marketing. You hereby give consent for Dogs in the Driveway to use any images taken for these purposes.
